The Omedetas are a happy mob that celebrates 365 days of the year. A rap group of 5 MCs and 1 DJ based in Toyama that "celebrates the everyday" by creating and singing songs related to actual anniversaries registered with the Japan Anniversary Association and national holidays. ️ They have a history of celebrating anniversaries that no one has ever heard of, such as "Ghost Day," "Shaved Ice Day," and "Daredemoda Dance Day," as well as well-known holidays such as "New Year's Day," "Labor Thanksgiving Day," and "Coming of Age Day." ️ Their goal is to celebrate all 365 days of the year, but they're still only halfway there. In addition to music, they tend to do everything themselves, from artwork and merchandise to video productions. Their 2018 release, "Sanzu no Riverside," ranked first on Spotify's "Viral Top 50 (Japan)." Since then, they have expanded the scope of their activities day by day, including producing songs with a high school in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, collaborating with FREAK'S STORE, providing songs for Toyama Daihatsu, writing lyrics for Hypnosis Mic, and providing tracks for Chelmico. Last year marked their 10th anniversary, and they released their fourth album, "COLLECT10N," on November 6th. Tickets for their solo live performance at Shibuya WWW on December 7th sold out immediately. Tickets for all performances on their 2025 anniversary tour were also sold out, and their Instagram followers have exceeded 37,000. They have also been confirmed to appear at major events such as the "Hibiya Music Festival 2025."
